Willamette Valley Hospice Adult Grief Support Groups
Six week grief support groups for adults are offered by Willamette Valley Hospice throughout the year. Participants gain support from others experiencing grief and loss as they gain an understanding of the grief process. There is no cost for these groups. Registration is required.
Dates: October 11, 18, 25, November 1, 8, 15

Child Birth Preparation Class
A 5-week childbirth preparation series on Monday nights to prepare you and your support person(s) for labor and birth. Topics include optimal fetal positioning, stages of labor, natural childbirth, pain relief options, interventions, baby care and breastfeeding. Plan to take the class so finish date is no later than 3 weeks before you are due.
Dates: September 6–October 4; November 1–29
Time: 7:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m.

Saturday Child Birth Preparation Class
A 2-part slightly condensed childbirth preparation class for families who are unable to attend Monday night classes. Topics include optimal fetal positioning, stages of labor, natural childbirth, medication options, interventions, baby care and breastfeeding.
Dates: October 9 and 23; December 11 and 18
Time: 1:00 p.m.–5:30 p.m.

Breastfeeding Class
In-depth class covering benefits of breastfeeding, achieving a good latch, avoiding pain, easy solutions for common problems, nutrition and pumping.
Dates: August 9; October 25; November 29
Time: 7:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m.
Cost: $5 or free for OHP recipients

Free Breastfeeding Clinic
One-on-one help with breastfeeding questions and difficulties. Phone advice and appointments are available Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

Sibling Preparation Class
Our sibling preparation class will help prepare your older child on what to expect when the new baby arrives. Class includes watching a video, hospital tour and creating a t-shirt. Ideas for making the transition easier for parents are also covered. Class is best suited for children ages 4–11
Dates: September 4; December 4
Time: 10:00 a.m.–11:00 a.m.

Memorial Service
In remembrance of all miscarried and stillborn babies. This service is open for anyone who has been affected by the loss of a baby.
Dates: First Friday in April and October
